Hot Shot Productions first pulled itself from the primordial ooze in 2009 in Dayton, OH. Beginning with the original one-person-show Sirens and Superheroes by Jeff Newman, HSP quickly established itself as a company concerned with dialogue rich, emotionally volatile, original content. The company eventually moved its HQ to Chicago in 2011 and continues to bring its particular brand and style of storytelling to the festivals and store-front stages of the Windy City. Company Founder Jeff Newman believes Chicago is the perfect community for the kind of challenging, low budget theatre experience that has become the hallmark of HSP.
